Monroe County First
President Trump championed the idea of America First, meaning that the primary responsibility of the US Government is to its own people and not to any foreign nation or people. This truth pertains also to local government. Every government has a duty first and foremost to its own people within its jurisdiction. So we will seek to champion the issues that matter to our community like stopping over-development including data centers, fighting corruption, property tax relief, small business protections, the right to bear arms, immigration enforcement, protecting the unborn, election integrity, parental rights, and much more.

Committee members vote for the county GOP chairman. Strong leadership means a well-funded, well-organized party that recruits great candidates and wins elections. Weak leadership means the party sits on the sidelines.

The committee shapes local party bylaws, resolutions, and priorities. They decide how resources are allocated, which races get support, and which America First principles the Monroe County GOP stands for publicly.

Data Centers & Over-Development
Monroe County is not an economic zone for corporations, corrupt politicians and incompetent bureaucrats to have their way with. Monroe County is a heritage — a home. It's a particular place for a particular people. We must not allow our beloved rural community to become nothing more than a giant strip of warehouses and data centers driving out the descendants of the very men who settled this land and built civilization here, centuries ago.

Property Tax Relief
Monroe County families are being taxed out of their homes. With one of the highest property tax rates in Pennsylvania, many of us are struggling to meet this heavy burden. We must relieve this burden by reducing it, or Sal would even support abolishing property taxes altogether.

School Choice & Parents
Parents, not bureaucrats, should decide how their children are educated. Sal supports school choice, parental rights, and educational freedom, including homeschooling families.

Small Business
As an entrepreneur himself, Sal knows that small businesses are the backbone of Monroe County's economy. He fights for lower taxes, less regulation, and a government that gets out of the way.

Election Integrity
Sal supports the SAVE Act and any other measures that would secure elections and ensure that only eligible citizens vote.

Protect the Unborn
Each of us are alive and fully human, made in the image of God from the moment of fertilization. Our laws ought to reflect this reality by extending equal protection of law to all humans from fertilization until natural death.

The Immigration Invasion
We must support the deportation efforts of the Trump Administration, and those efforts must be ramped up to reverse the devastating effects of mass migration. Sal supports an immigration moratorium, an end to birthright citizenship, and repeal of Hart-Cellar and its companions.

Right to Bear Arms
The US Constitution is clear: "shall not be infringed," and the PA Constitution clearer still, "shall not be questioned." Sal supports Constitutional Carry and repeal of any legislation that has restricted our right to keep and bear arms.

Sal Piccolo is a Monroe County Republican Committeeman, Christian, Husband, Father of 6, small business owner, and community leader who got involved because Monroe County families deserve better. As Republican committeeman for Tunkhannock Township East, he is playing the long game, building a bench of America First conservative leaders who will serve this community for decades to come.

In his 2026 campaign for State Committee, Sal earned over 3,000 votes as a first-time county-wide primary candidate running against three incumbents, reaching over 20,000 Monroe County residents through an integrated digital and ground campaign. The fight continues.
